What are your classroom sizes?

Our pre-school classroom (ages 3-4 years old only) is licensed for 38 children and scheduled to have two full-time teachers and a full-time assistant working at all times. Once our classroom size has dropped to 20 is the only time there are less than 3 adults working in the classroom. During nap-time a part-time assistant is scheduled to relieve full-time staff for lunch daily, that way there are always three adults in the classroom.

Elementary classrooms (K – 5th grades) are closed once we have reached the maximum of 25 students. Each classroom has one full-time teacher and one full-time assistant working all day. If a classroom has less than 14 students then a part-time assistant is hired to work between classrooms.

Middle School and High School (6th – 12th grades) also have a classroom maximum of 25 students.

Do the classrooms have a set schedule?

The Pre-School classroom does follow a set schedule as young children learn best from repetition and routine. Please see the attached class schedule.

All of our Elementary classes also follow a set schedule, however; it is different depending on the individual teachers’ preferences. All classes schedule core subjects (math, science, history, spelling, reading) at the same time each day. As well extra subjects (P.E., computers, art, etc.) are also held at approximately the same time each day or week.

Lunch and recess remain the same time for all classes Pre-School through Twelfth grades.

Do you have a hot lunch program?

We do not have a typical hot lunch program where a staff member cooks and serves food out of our facility. We have a fundraising project that runs annually and all year long. Five days a week your child is able to order lunch from certain establishment THE BETTER LUNCH PROGRAM  and have it delivered to the school for them. At the beginning of each month a hot lunch form is given to you and you are allowed to pick and choose the days and items you would like to order.

All lunch prices vary as we go through a third party for purchases. We do as well  have  “snack shack” a cart that offers snacks and minimal lunch items for a cost per item, ranging from $1.00-$3.00.

What kinds of discounts do you offer?

Pre-School and Kindergarten thru 12th Grade are separate entities, to receive a multi-child discount you would need to have multiple children in Pre-School and/or multiple children in Kindergarten thru 12th Grade. As well we offer a discount to tithe paying members of our church.

What kind of discipline do you use?

The facility will not tolerate or allow any form of physical punishment, humiliation, or discipline involving taking away of food. Redirection of your child will be handled in a positive manner. Redirection is intended to be a learning experience. Children must learn self-control. If redirection does not work the teacher will be asked to try separation, then sending them to the office, then calling the parents to verbally discipline the child. If those methods have been used unsuccessfully, then the parents will be asked to come in and speak to the child or take them home for the day.

Continued behavioral problems will be discussed between the parents, teacher and the administration. Every effort will be made to correct the problem and encourage good behavior. However, after a reasonable period of time, if your child’s behavior is still causing problems, you could be asked to withdraw your child from our facility.
